Hello girls, I'm back!

It's true that good things come to an end quickly. Exactly 8 days ago, I was writing the blog by the pool; today, I'm already home, surrounded by clothes, washing everything we wore on holiday. Life isn't easy!

Tomorrow I'm back to work; it was just a week to get my thoughts in order and relax with the best thing we have in life: "Family."

You can't imagine, or maybe you can, the pleasure of spending all day together with our children. It's been so long since I had that; waking up and knowing I'll have all meals with my children together—there's no price for that. If I were to talk about my granddaughters, the blog would be entirely dedicated to them, so wonderful… dealing daily with that innocence, without malice, everything so genuine, it's just too good!

I often find myself thinking that I am very lucky. Most people my age haven't lived half of what I have. I'm about to turn half a century old; I started working at 13, became a mother at 16 (for someone who started working early, everything is in proportion). At 25, I became a mother for the second time. At 28, I opened my shop; after years of living together, I got married in 2011. In between, I experienced the first great loss of my life: my father. I was devastated, but God is so just that, a year later, my granddaughters were born in 2014; I became a grandmother at 40.

Amidst all these events, I grew and traveled a lot too. I had many ups and downs, like everyone else, but always with the ability to turn into a phoenix and rise from the ashes many times.

My life would make a book. Being a young grandmother is a blessing, but also ungrateful, because I'm not that very present grandmother due to my work. I wasn't the grandmother who picked up her granddaughters from school, who strolled along the seafront with the pram; I couldn't be the grandmother who could have her granddaughters sleep over because the next day I have to work... In other words, everything in life has a price; that was the price I paid!

So, can you imagine how important this holiday was for me? It was just too good, and I enjoyed every second.

This is a brief summary of my life story. I have 2 children, one 24 and the other 32, and 2 granddaughters who are about to turn 10—what a masterpiece!

Anyway, enough nostalgia, let's get back to talking about work… The week flew by, and Joana was working her fingers to the bone, sick with Covid. You know that feeling when you go on holiday and it seems like everything happens? It was pretty much like that. She was fantastic; even sick, she did everything possible and impossible to make sure everything went well, handled the online, did live streams, and never missed a beat. Thank you, Joana! Brenda was in the shop, but the shop is one of those things that still depends a lot on me. I know and I feel that people who go there like to see Carla being served by Carla, and I am very grateful for that. As much as possible, Brenda did her best, but it's logical that, in my absence, the bar was set very high, and both were impeccable!

I also thank you all for the support you gave my girls.

Now, this active week, we're going to work hard on the sales, because summer is just beginning… "Beginning," as they say, in some areas, because here it was still cold, and every now and then it rains; temperatures don't go above 23 degrees. It's terrible for this time of year. At this rate, we'll spend Christmas at the beach, since the weather is so uncertain. September and October should be great.

I have so many plans for the new collection. My mind never stops; when I think everything has already been invented, my mind starts brimming with ideas and a huge desire to stand out. I'm a head full of dreams, many of which I'm determined to achieve. I'm going to work very hard for that, I'm going to work very hard to work less and less.

I want more moments like this with my family, and I want to be more present for you too!

Tomorrow we'll have our usual live stream, this time with the presence of the famous Carla Valente (laughs). A video of those dresses you love will also be released, because even on holiday, I still went to the neighboring country to shop for new items.

Thank you, my loves, for being there and taking some of your time to read these lines I write!

Have an excellent week everyone, visit our website, visit our physical store, don't stop being with me! A kiss to your hearts.

With love, Carla
