I'm here a bit earlier for our weekly chat. And what an intense week we've had! Unexpected events have given a different tone to the last few days...
The most shocking episode happened yesterday: the shop was vandalized. Our peaceful Matosinhos was surprised by a gang that decided to vandalize everything in their path. Seven cars on my street suffered broken windows and ransacked interiors, but, strangely, nothing was stolen. The Carla Valente shop also did not escape, suffering attempted break-ins. Fortunately, the double glazing resisted. The strangest thing of all? No alarm sounded, raising suspicions that the gang possesses technology to deactivate them. A truly frightening scenario.
Additionally, our shop's security cameras captured a truly alarming episode, which we are now sharing with you. Two hooded individuals, armed with hammers, launched an unrestrained attack against our shop window. The images, which you can see in the video below, show the brutality with which they acted, in a clear display of gratuitous and senseless vandalism.

Thanks to the resistance of the double glazing, the consequences were not even more serious. This shocking visual record not only documents what happened but also reminds us of the vulnerability we face, despite our efforts to ensure an environment of beauty and safety at Carla Valente.
The second point that marked the week was the farewell of our Prada. After attempts at dialogue with the person responsible for the dog, we realized that her decision was already made. Prada was given to a lady from the village, who unfortunately cannot have children and will now find companionship in our adorable Prada. Without wanting to dwell on comments, I will only say that, the next day, our three-week companion was no longer with us, leaving a void and longing for the moments she shared in our shop.
Moving on to a more positive note, Black Friday is coming! This weekend — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — take advantage of the special discounts to acquire those pieces you've been eyeing. It's incredible how some still don't grasp the value of these promotions. A 20% to 30% discount is something to appreciate, especially when Winter seems shorter.
