Hello, hello, my dear readers! ❤️
This week flew by so fast! It was practically Carla's week!
Monday was hair salon day – 4 hours of dedication: color, cut, and hydration, everything I'm entitled to. I never have the courage to be radical, change my color, or get a different cut. There's an explanation for all of this: twice, different hairdressers wanted to experiment with my hair, and it went very wrong. It was horrible! Such aggressive bleaching that I even bled from my scalp… For over 3 years, my hair would break, grow, and break… That's why I got extensions, remember?
My husband, always attentive, made sure to solve that problem. He spoke with one of our clients, Helena (one of the best professionals!), and since then, she has worked miracles! I only go there twice a year, it's a maximum of 8 or 9 hours at the hairdresser annually, and she, along with her team, has managed to restore health and vitality to my hair. It's called PRIMIHAIR, here in Matosinhos. I love it! Thank you, Helena!
Wednesday was nail day, always rushing again with my Belita! I've been a loyal customer for 20 years – when I feel good and I'm treated well, I don't switch! Sometimes, I even wait for her to have an opening when I need to reschedule, but I won't switch my Belita!
Friday was my turn to go to the dentist 🦷, a torment! Since I was a kid, I've been terrified of dentists, but what needs to be done really has to be done. Once again, a client made a remark that stuck with me:
“Carlita, just as you understand clothes, I understand oral health. And let me tell you, you should do something more harmonious with your mouth. You sell an image!”
This stuck in my head… And indeed, our smile is our calling card! I decided to talk to her and, since 2019, I've been undergoing treatment. My God, I must be a NASA case study, it can't be anything else! 😂
Two sinus lifts (meaning bone 🦴), waiting 9 to 10 months to heal, then placing the material to hold implants, waiting again… A real movie! 🎥 Dr. David Alfaiate, Dr. Catarina, and Dr. Graça thought they shouldn't extract healthy teeth to place all implants, hence the long waiting time. Only now, after almost 5 years, have I had my first temporaries placed, and the difference is obvious!
I'm finally starting to see visible results! Many times I thought about giving up, getting on a plane and going to Turkey (they talk so much about the success and the prices), but I trusted those who always trusted me. I don't think I'll regret it! 🥰
With this, I want to say that my smile is changing – and for the better! 🤣🤣🤣 This year 2025 will be marked by growth and transformation at all levels, personal and professional. Throughout the year, you will notice! ❤️
