This week not only marks the official start of the new Autumn/Winter season, but also the celebration of my 49th birthday (oh my goodness)!
I started this adventure at 29; this is my twentieth winter. How is that possible?
When I look back, I see that even though fashion is cyclical, we never would have imagined that a pandemic would so profoundly transform the concept of consensual fashion.
Who would have thought we'd dare to mix patterns and play with completely unthinkable colours? Who would have imagined working in trainers or tracksuits?
How is that possible?
Little by little, everything tends to return to normal, but what normal? Do we want that normal? Could we live without online now? Many of you say and send messages thanking us for keeping you company... And what about us? Have you ever imagined that we are also human and need that affection too?
It's so good to know that those customers are there because they like us. Thinking about it this way, I don't feel so sad about turning 49 anymore, LOL.
I was born on September 8, 1974. The number 8 symbolises infinity. 1974 – the year of the Carnation Revolution. My birth date is fantastic! In addition, uniting all this, I earned a strong nickname: "Valente" (Brave). What more could I ask for?
When I was born, my destiny was already sealed: born on the 8th, in the year 1974, with the name Carla Valente – it had to amount to something.
