First of all, I apologise for my absence last week. I was super busy organising my holidays, last-minute shopping, where to leave Gucci, preparing some content, and, of course, leaving the house clean and tidy. I always have this paranoia about leaving the house organised, because we know how we leave but never how we arrive. So, I leave everything fresh and tidy ❤️.
On Monday, I still worked and managed to upload 2 videos of those super fresh and versatile dresses — I even brought one of them myself. June is a fateful month for businesses, as it has many holidays and is a month for pre-promotions/sales. The worst part is that summer hasn't even started yet, and ready-to-wear brands have been showing wonderful, super fresh linen pieces, like Please, for example, which has a beautiful collection of linen items. And I bought some, of course! What I mean to say is that everyone is anxious about the sales, but the most beautiful high-summer pieces haven't arrived yet — which means we'll have to put "season advance"...
When, in fact, the true high summer is arriving at the right time!
We have to adapt to new times — there's a lot of supply, we simply have to make a difference!
That's the hardest part, because sometimes I stop and think to myself: what else is there left to invent? Artificial intelligence is scary! Often, they make reels that you can't distinguish if they're real or fake, ChatGPT does everything for us in seconds, searches that used to take hours now take seconds... Everything is starting to become very impersonal and frightening 😦.
As I'm from the old era, I still like to think, to plan with paper and pen in hand. I like to write things down on paper, I like to cross things out and make drawings on paper, because it's during those times that ideas emerge. I sound like a dinosaur, don't I? Any self-respecting entrepreneur carries their iPad, and I have one, but I can't do without my notebook. For me, it's less work to open the notebook than to wait for the iPad to turn on 😂😂😂.
As you may have noticed, I'm on holiday, because the girls have already mentioned it in the videos, in the live streams, etc. I always try, in the silence by the sea, to think, ponder, reflect, and create new ideas or at least new strategies for the future. Visiting cultures different from our own also makes us understand other things. Observing successful physical stores helps me understand where I can change or adapt, meaning, even on holiday, I can't switch off 😂. I think anyone who owns a business can understand me 😇.
This week, H4, a brand I really like, also returned. I bought the pieces via video call, as I had already left Porto, but I think it was a good selection, as they are in demand 🥰. The stock was very limited, I believe we won't be able to satisfy all customers 😔, but this is called exclusivity — so grab your favourites now 🤩👌.
What do we have for this week? Another holiday 😔
And for next week, what else? Another holiday, but this time in my city: São João 🎈🎈🎈🥳 and then it's over, God willing 🙏, because we have to work, otherwise people will spend all their money on pre-holidays 😂😂😂😂.
This year I came earlier. I'm so sceptical about everything that I decided to come on holiday now — and so it's already enjoyed. And well enjoyed! The weather is great 👌
Speaking of which, I'm going for a swim, because my body is already burning from standing here writing the blog 😂. The calm and serene sea awaits me, my loves 🌊. Now I'm going to enjoy a bit of this doing-nothing atmosphere 😂😂😂.
