Hello ladies, I hope you are happy and well this weekend, which is longer than usual. Well, I took a few days to relax in nature myself, although it's hard to switch off, but I managed to sleep more than 8 hours straight, which I hadn't done in a long time!
The chosen place was Gerês; I hadn't been here for a few years. I searched online for everything chic, several hotels with indoor pools, spas, etc... everything lovely, until this 2-star hotel, so humble and peaceful, caught my attention. It's obvious and natural that throughout life, as our circumstances evolve, we adapt our tastes, and come what may, everyone enjoys what is good and appreciates the good side of life. What I mean by this is that, after years of taking several getaways to 4 and 5-star hotels, staying in a 2-star hotel was like returning to childhood... So good!
Hotel Adelaide, 2 stars, humbly decorated, full of traditions, clean, a room with a balcony and a magnificent view and, with this weather that unfortunately doesn't allow for enjoying the outdoor pool, offers all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, with the exception of memories as if returning to childhood, excursion trips with parents where we stayed in guesthouses and inns, everything was magical.
I'm writing here with a view over an infinite valley of trees, and in the middle, you can see a little house or two. I can imagine the peace it must be to live in a place like this! We, city dwellers, after several years of constant daily stress, truly begin to appreciate the simple side of life, and I confess I would love to have a little house in the village to escape to from time to time, to wake up to the sound of birds instead of car horns. Many of you must agree with me too, I say!
Changing the subject, despite Monday being a holiday, I've been trying to publish mini-videos, as Facebook has been playing some tricks on us. In reality, it's our fault. Humans have a tendency to exaggerate everything. Facebook was a social network that appeared and innovated for people to get to know each other and make themselves known, and we, with the pandemic and even before the pandemic, created a way on Facebook to make our business known. It started with some texts, then some photos, then some videos, and led to a proliferation of daily packages selling everything and anything.
In reality, when we open Facebook, we see everything from a luxury brand advertisement to the grocer doing live streams selling olive oil and canned tuna on promotion. In conclusion, what I mean is that sooner or later we would all pay the price, and what is certain is that, with each passing day, live streams have fewer viewers, which becomes frustrating for those doing them (yes, it's a fact). Whose fault? Ours, of course! We had a golden, free opportunity and we used and abused it to sell, sell, sell, and that was not the purpose of Facebook. That's the reality.
Let's start all over again and conquer again to give things their due value, like this weekend's example. If the 5-star hotels were fully booked, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to appreciate this humble hotel!
Let's roll up our sleeves, because working has never scared me, and strive for the quality of videos, photos, personalized customer service, sending messages, calling and chatting a bit, knowing a little about you as you know so much about us. It's the least we can do to thank you for these past few years that you've always been here with us.
Although we are absent due to the holiday, I left prepared content yesterday, I made a mini-video. Today I will also publish another video, where I will take some time to show you the dynamics of our company in the Backoffice and how professional we try to be to serve you always and increasingly better!
I hope you like it, I loved making it, I think I love making videos, it gives me immense pleasure, I really identify with that format, I almost never think about what to separate to film. My imagination just follows, and I pick up one piece, mix it with that one, then I leave, go get another earring, leave everyone in a stress because I end up not doing anything that was planned, but this is me, Carla Valente, always at full speed and with a thousand ideas at the same time, full of dreams yet to be realized, but I always do everything with a lot of love and I hope I can always convey that to you!
We will also be publishing another video of dresses later tonight, since tomorrow is a holiday, you will have fun later, you can, despite it being Sunday, watch the video later too.
Check out the website, as almost everything at Lola's is already 20% off.
Tomorrow, Monday, around 7:30 PM or a little before, we will do a live stream precisely from Lola with discounts, stay tuned, okay?
Thus, I bid farewell for today and leave you with a message: appreciate all the small things life gives you and value them.
I adore you. Happy holiday to all.
With love,
Carla Valente
